Safety and Accident Prevention Programs

Employees of ECCO III ENTERPRISES, INC. are considered valuable assets, and their safety is of vital concern. Recognizing its needs and responsibility for the safety of its employees and others, ECCO III considers accident prevention an integral part of every operation undertaken. ECCO III adheres to all Federal,State and Local safety regulations and guidelines.

Safety is always the first priority in planning and operating all of ECCO III's activities in order to protect employees and others against occupational injuries and illnesses, and to protect ECCO III against unnecessary financial burden and reduced efficiency.

Josephine McCaffrey, Risk Manager at ECCO III, is responsible for compliance with all safety and insurance requirements for our various projects. Mrs. McCaffrey’s responsibilities include the development and implementation of safety training for all employees, corporate safety meetings, at which all levels of management participate, monitoring OSHA compliance on all jobsites, reviewing daily, weekly and monthly safety inspections and monitoring the safety compliance of our subcontractors. In addition to safety related responsibilities, Mrs. McCaffrey is responsible for insurance procurement including the marketing and purchasing of all commercial lines of Insurance (General Liability, Auto, Workers Compensation, In-Land Marine, Pollution and Excess Liability) and the handling of all property damage, liability and Workers compensation claims. Mrs. McCaffrey is a member of the Associated General Contractors of America Safety Committee, and holds positions as Co-Chairperson for the Construction Industry Council of the Hudson Valley Safety Committee, and Co-Chairperson for the General Contractors Association of NYC Safety Committee. She holds certificates in OSHA 40 Hour Hazardous Waste Handling Course with Annual 8 Hour Refresher as well as SSPC C-3 Lead Competent person certification with Annual C-5 8 hr Refresher. Mrs Mccaffrey is a Certified OSHA 500 Construction Outreach trainer.
