Scope of Work:
This $47.3 Million project for the NYSDOT consists of the Replacement of the 138th Street Bridge over the Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx, New York. This complex project requires expertise in managing a heavily congested worksite with ongoing vehicular and pedestrian traffic. This Project will occur in a period of 10 stages, beginning with temporary utility installation and combined sewer relocation. Subsequently, Stages 2 through 5 will consist of bridge reconstruction. Finally, Stages 6 through 10 will consist of MDE pavement reconstruction. The Work includes drilled and driven piles, precast concrete/steel bridge units, SOE installation, multiple underground utility and structure relocations and concrete pavement reconstruction. This project will require Third-Party coordination with Empire City Subway Communications, NYSDOT ITS and Con Edison Gas and Electric.
