Contract Name: This $33.3 Million project for the NYCDEP consists of the replacement of the NYS Route 28A Bridge over Esopus Creek, replacement of the NYS Route 28A Railroad Bridge, and reconstruction of NYS Route 28A in the Town of Shandaken, in Ulster County, New York. This site is located in a heavily wooded-area with an active waterway and heavy vehicular traffic.

Scope of Work:
This $33.3 Million project for the NYCDEP consists of the replacement of the NYS Route 28A Bridge over Esopus Creek, replacement of the NYS Route 28A Railroad Bridge, and reconstruction of NYS Route 28A in the Town of Shandaken, in Ulster County, New York. This site is located in a heavily wooded-area with an active waterway and heavy vehicular traffic. The new road will be constructed to the south of the existing roadway, keeping the existing road open to live traffic while construction of the new bridge takes place. Following the completion of the new road and bridge, traffic will be shifted to the new road, allowing for demolition of the old bridge. This project will require Third-Party coordination with Verizon and Central Hudson Gas and Electric.
