The Design-Build (DB) Joint Venture of ECCO III Enterprises, Inc. and Skanska Civil Northeast Inc. successfully replaced a 110-year-old culvert pipe with a cast-in-place structural combination bridge/culvert to carry storm-water under the four (4) mainline tracks at Metro-North’s Dobbs Ferry Station. This emergency reconstruction was in response to severe damages brought on by Hurricane Ida in September of 2021 . The emergency reconstruction was completed in less than five (5) months all while trains continued to travel over the culvert at reduced speeds.
