Title: Project Superintendent
Division: Operations

Summary:

ECCO III Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Project Superintendent with experience managing field operations for large-scale infrastructure projects typically valued at over $20 million including safety, schedule, budget, and field staff.

The individual shall be responsible for supervising all field operations and labor forces for an assigned project(s) to achieve timely and profitable completion. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, leading jobsite safety and quality; developing the initial project schedule and managing the project look-ahead schedule; contributing to project finance administration; developing/implementing safe work plans; coordinating material procurement; managing/training Superintendents and Office Engineers; and developing concepts for and implementing major work operations such as demolition and erection, among other responsibilities.

Prior to construction, the individual will be expected to understand drawings and specifications; understand applicable union contracts; compare and tie the look-ahead schedule to the main project CPM schedule; properly set up the jobsite yard and field office; create a work plan for major operations (i.e., demolition, erection); execute ECCO III's pre-excavation policy; confirm and review shop drawings; confirm permits; confirm material delivery schedules; coordinate equipment/tool delivery schedules; coordinate labor needs; confirm baseline survey and survey layouts; manage the project budget; and develop value-engineering ideas, among other activities.

During construction, the individual will be expected to manage field operations, ensuring all activities progress efficiently throughout each shift; manage overall safety, safe work plans, and security protocols; determine emergency protocols and nearest hospitals; maintain a safe, clean, and environmentally sound work site; adjust schedule and planned activities as any issues or delays arise (i.e., inclement weather); develop/manage major operation work plan concepts; and work/partner with the Owner. Additional responsibilities include entering information into Datamaxx; confirming equipment is maintained/repaired; performing red-mark in bid book; developing final cost projections for operations; and identifying extras and reporting to project management.

The annual salary range for this role Is $150,000 to $180,000 in addition to bonus potential, a 401(k) match, health benefits, paid time off, and more. The final salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the individual’s experience and qualifications.

Special Requirements:

Successful candidates will meet most, if not all, of the below criteria:

-Experience managing field operations for large-scale infrastructure projects valued at over $20 million

-Strong understanding of construction safety principals and best practices

-Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, lead, and influence Superintendents, Office Engineers, subcontractors, and craft laborers

-Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex engineering challenges/solutions to a wide variety of stakeholders, including the Owner

-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle Primavera Scheduling Software
