Title: Mechanical Office Engineer
Division: Estimating - Mechanical
Position Location: Yonkers, NY
Summary:

ECCO III Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Office Engineer to provide support in the preparation of mechanical/civil estimates, as well as office/field support for current mechanical projects.

The individual shall be responsible for various administrative tasks including, but not limited to, assisting with project safety administrative tasks; executing/maintaining necessary permits for the jobsite; confirming security is in place; executing purchase orders under $500 with Superintendent's approval; coordinating of material ordering, procurement and deliveries; coordinating new hire/termination administrative tasks; managing Requests for Personnel paperwork; ensuring payroll is completed on schedule; managing equipment inspections and transfers; and keeping inventory of small tools and office supplies, among other tasks.

The individual shall also be responsible for contributing to the estimate of a project bid and working in conjunction with an estimating team to finalize an estimate. Individuals will be expected to interpret bid documents, drawings, and specifications; learn and perform takeoffs; perform subcontractor and supplier outreach; and analyze/enter subcontractor and supplier quotes into sub-system.

The annual salary range for this role is $75,000 to $100,000 in addition to bonus potential, a 401(k) match, health benefits, paid time off, and more. The final salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the individual's experience and qualifications.

Special Requirements:

Successful candidates will meet most, if not all, of the below criteria:

-3+ years of proven experience managing administrative work to support the field office/yard for mechanical projects

-Experience in water, wastewater, and pump stations projects involving the installation of new or replacement of process piping systems and equipment

-Ability to learn construction safety principles and best practices within a reasonable timeframe

-Strong written and verbal communication skills

-Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to effectively manage one's tasks with minimal supervision

-Responsive and proactive with executing one’s tasks

-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD. Knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software is also a plus.
