Scope of Work:
Construction of a single span structural steel bridge over the New York State Route 25 (Middle Country Road) at an existing ‘A’ grade at the intersection of Route 25 and Suffolk County Route 97 (Nicolls Road) in Suffolk County, New York. The new bridge construction required excavation and sheeting; embankment fill; utility relocations; reinforced concrete; bridge railing; guide railing; stone curbing and precast retaining walls. The project also included the widening and resurfacing of Nicolls Road and the reconstruction of the shoulders on Nicolls Road. Entrance and exiting ramps were required to be constructed for the new bridge along with the associated bridge lighting and new traffic control system. |
