Scope of Work:
This $14 million dollar project for the New York State Department of Transportation consisted of the demolition and replacement of the existing Exterior Street Bridge. The work for this project included the following construction activities; temporary bridge, bored in mini-piles, pipe piles, steel sheeting, structural excavation, construction of new pile caps, bridge pier, north abutment, lightweight fill, new structural steel, cast in place bridge deck, parapet, fencing, sidewalks and paving. The project was completed in two (2) stages with an accelerated start in order to achieve partial completion prior to the opening of the new Yankee Stadium |
